Adelaide Living Artists

If there's one thing that can add some colour and interest in a room...besides from scatter cushions of course ;)...... it's Art work on the walls.

The last couple of years I've come across some wonderful local artists right here in Adelaide, South Australia. I really enjoy going on holidays or away for the weekend and checking out the local talent...you never know what you will come across and what treasures you will find.

A trip to Port Elliot brought me to a little shop called "Little Bird", this is where I was introduced to Eliza Piro. On the wall was a beautiful canvas of coloured hand painted leaves, a bird and nest. similar to the image below.

Eliza Piro grew up in South Australia's, Clare Valley and now lives in Adelaide with her family.

Influenced by the rich and colourful tapestries and textiles of India, Eliza’s paintings are bold, lively and beautiful. Predominantly about nature, Eliza’s paintings feature elephants, birds, fish, flowers and trees, comprising a vast array of vibrant colours and patterns.

This one is one of my favourites, its called "Exotic Birds", it is so colourful and will look amazing in any room where you would like to add colour without over doing it. You could pick up some colours in the canvas to add some accessories to your room to compliment the painting.

Emma Hack - Is another favourite Adelaide Artist, she specialises in canvas painting, body art, photography. Emma's works evoke a rich array of visual narrative and magical realism.

Emma specialises in body art where she paints a person in front of an image...like wall paper. Most of her images have real life animals in them, whilst the person she has painted disappears into the background. She is very talented and I love her work, her images create a big talking point.

Emma has been famous recently for her work she did for Gotye - Somebody that I use to know

The next image is amazing, a car crash made up of painted bodies
